USEFUL INFORMATION

I am Stefania Nicastro an artisan engraver passionate about art and beautiful things. I work exclusively in a manual and artisan way and I make engravings on gold, silver and precious stones.
Although we are, and we hope to remain, an artisan reality in the goldsmith world, we try at the same time to provide our customers with a modern, efficient and quality service. To this end, we have drawn up a small handbook on this web page containing all the information we need to provide you with quick and timely answers to any requests made. Information also available in the brochure in PDF format available at the following link. We hope you like it.

Brochure

1-Choose the metal and the type of ring

As mentioned above we are an artisan company and we make unique jewels in GOLD, SILVER and PRECIOUS STONES. The following images represent a selection of our chevaliere ring models. The models shown in the figure are indicative of the shape and style, so in this phase, after choosing the raw material, it is necessary to identify the type of ring by indicating the NUMBER next to the figure. The third necessary element is, only if you want the engraving on hard stone, the indication of the material (JASPER, ROCK CRYSTAL, AGATE, CARNELIAN, AMETHYST or other hard stone.

2-THE COAT OF ARMS TO BE MADE

To evaluate the complexity of the engraving work it is important to have the coat of arms to be made available. Even a photo, an illustration or a drawing, even partial, is enough. We are in fact able to complete and / or modify the coat of arms to be made respecting the heraldic rules.

3-THE DIMENSIONS

All rings are unique pieces created by hand so, even if they are the same model, they will never have exactly the same weight and thickness. Once the customer has chosen the model based on the size, we will formulate the quote. However, I would like to remind you that we can still make any model, even on your design, in gold, silver and steel. As can be seen from the images, we create models, as well as in gold, with a metal hull and bezel in hard stone. Where technical information is displayed it is for indicative purposes only and valid only for the ring shown in the figure.
The simplest method to have a correct size of the ring to be made is to measure the circumference of the relative finger. The procedure is very simple, just cut a strip of paper and follow the instructions as shown in the figure. After marking the overlap point, simply measure the length obtained with a ruler. At this point you can either convert the obtained measurement, using the SIZE CONVERSION table or directly provide us with the obtained measurement.

4-THE STONE (GLITTIC)

In the previous image a series of semiprecious stones used in the ancient glyptic technique, engraving on hard stone and precisely: 1-Stratified Carnelian, 2- Agate, 3-Blood Jasper, 4-Lapis Lazuli, 5 Red Jasper, 6-Onyx, 7-Rock crystal, 8-Carnelian. The engraving is technically possible on almost all types of material, including precious stones such as turquoise, rubies and sapphires.
